Det är inte första gången som jag rekommenderar Generation Y, skriven av Yoani Sánchez, som presenterar sin blog så här:
Generation Y är en blog inspirerad av människor som jag, med namn som börjar med eller innehåller ett “y”. Födda på Cuba under 70- och 80-talen, märkd av landsortsskolor, ryska teknade serier, illegal emigration och frustration. Så jag bjuder särskilt in, Yanisleidi, Yoandri, Yusimí, Yuniesky och andra som bär sina “Yn” till att läsa mig och att skriva till mig.
Hon är runt trettio, har en examen i filologi och bor i Havanna. Men vad som är långt mer intressant: Hon bloggar om Kuba, från Kuba med perspektivet av en tidigare frälst medborgare.
Dagens ämne är die Welle, eller the Wave som titeln var på den äldre filmen som visades i skolorna på min tid… Jag såg die Welle för några månader sedan och för oss var den inte mer än en alltid nyttig påminnelse om att aldrig sluta tänka på egen hand, men självklart är inte alla lika priviligierade som vi är.

Today the topic is die Welle, or the Wave as the title is of the older film shown in schools in my days… I saw the movie a couple of months ago, and for us it was nothing more than a always useful wake-up call, to never stop thinking by your self, but of course everyone is’nt as privileged as we are.
